The Ehlanzeni District Municipality recently announced the launch of a transformative initiative to bring together the strength of community spirit and the power of collaboration to uplift  Sabie Town. The Municipality, in partnership with Thaba Chweu local municipality, the Department of Agriculture, Rural Development, Land and Environmental Affairs, as well as UJ students, SAFCOL, KLCBT, Sabie Chamber of Commerce, and other esteemed organizations, launched a comprehensive clean-up, pothole patching, and paving campaign on 8 September 2023.

Volunteers from all walks of life came together to transform public spaces, streets, and communal areas. By uniting for this purpose, they will create a cleaner and more attractive living environment for all residents and a more welcoming destination for visitors.

Nature minders were hard at work under the banner of the Zonda Insila Programme, at Lekwa Local Municipality in Gert Sibande District.
